HRLostPets.org believes that if you aren't willing to give up in your search for your pet, then we should try to help you in as many ways as possible.

There are cases where a pet has wandered into a neighboring city or county or, has been picked up and taken to another city or country animal shelter by someone who wasn't aware of or did not wish to take an animal to the nearest shelter.

While it is unlikely, there is a remote chance that your lost pet could be on the adoption floor of another local animal shelter.

If You See Your Pet

If you see your pet, or one that looks similar, do not hesitate to contact the shelter in question. With proper documentation, reclaimng your pet should be easy and many of these fine shelters will be more than willing to help you reclaim your pet.
But act fast, as all of these pets are available for adoption, it is possible that the same qualities that make your pet appealing to you could attract another pet lover.
